Overview
A confined space is any area that is not intended for human occupancy, has limited access or has the potential to contain a toxic or oxygen deficient atmosphere. Training is necessary for supervisors, stand-by-people, workers entering confined spaces and rescue personnel. When entering a confined space you must be able to operate an atmospheric testing device to determine whether a suitable atmosphere exists to work safely.
Axiom Training recommends that a refresher is completed every two years.
Please Note: If you are attending the refresher course you will be joining us on the second day of the two day course option.
Prerequisites
Attendees on the refersher course must demonstrate that full NZQA training or refresher training has been completed within the last two years

Confined Spaces 2 Day Course
This full course option includes training is necessary for supervisors, a stand-by-person, personnel and contractors entering confined spaces as well as rescue personnel. Industries include chemical manufacture, underground services, energy industry, ship building & repair, construction, telecommunications and energy industries.
Confined Spaces 1 Day Course
This knowledge based course provides training on the hazards associated with confined spaces, including permit notification and implementation requirements.
Confined Spaces Refresher
This is a refresher course for safely entering, working in and exiting a confined space. It is for trainees who have previously completed the Confined Spaces Training – please see pre-requisites to check you are eligible to attend this course.
