Overview
This course teaches risk management and the prevention of safety incidents and is critical in managing workplace safety under the Health and Safety at Work Act. People who complete this unit standard will be able to work well in established industry operating and maintenance environments and plan tasks and operations where fall risks exist. This is a practical programme that requires the completion of two safety plans from a work environment.
Prerequisites
- Unit Standard 23229 - Use safety harness systems when working at height
- A relevant level of physical fitness and ability to work at heights
