Overview
Our moderator training course is designed to extend experienced assessors’ skills and knowledge of assessment, and to prepare them to handle moderation tasks within your organisation. The course is customised to fit your needs and systems and can optionally lead on from our Assessor Training course.
This course can be completed within a one-day workshop or by distance learning.

Participants will work towards NZQA Unit Standard 11551, which enables them to:
- Critique and approve new assessment material
- Follow moderation administration requirements.
- Approve modifications to existing materials
- Verify assessment decisions
Distance Learning
The distance learning programme is designed for confident and experienced assessors who have had some experience of assessment moderation. It is a boosted programme designed to be self-paced, with 1-2 phone or email interactions within the 3 month return period by a support trainer/assessor.
Training Workshop
The public workshop option is best for people with limited experience of assessment moderation.
